@Liberty4Masses Depends on the context. A temple can be used to refer to any space which either contains or is itself an "object of reverence". Reverence is defined as "deep respect".

So a temple is also not a requirement for or a defining quality of a religion. There are religions which have no sense of a temple, and there are some that have temples, just as there are non-religious people who may regard certain buildings as temples due to the deep respect they have for such a space.
