@freemo TBH arguing whether the world is warming up or not is idiotic, the more reasonable argument it's whether the cause is man-made or it's just the natural weather cycle as we had a mini-glacial age a century ago
@nerthos Neither point should need arguing. Even a toddler has enough scientific understanding to know that both are fairly irrefutable.
@freemo Agreed, there's proof enough that mankind had an impact, specially when it comes to microclimates. How much impact however is up for debate as we don't have precise worldwide meteorogical data for a long enough period of time. Had we say, 3000 years of detailed data from the entire globe, we could say without any doubts exactly how much of it is the fault of humans messing with the planet, but we hardly have 150.

@nerthos What we know clearly is how strongly CO2 levels correlate to temperatures, we have very good long-term data on that. Combine that with the fact that we know fairly well how much of the CO2 in the air is our fault. I'd say the data is pretty well established as to how much of it is from humans.
So we dont really need to know much about predicting weather since we know our own contribution and therefore know anything beyond that is natural
