I had an approval-based registration mode for Mastodon in sights for a while. The most basic approach is simple, but I am wondering if the most basic approach would not be enough. Do we need a "Describe why you want in?" text field? Do we need configurable extra fields? 😕

@Gargron I wouldnt use the feature on QOTO server, but id say at a minimun it should have admin customization list of questions, I'd even suggest the option of multiple choice where certain answers result in auto approval or autorejection
@freemo I didn't think a whole survey would be needed. Damn. People build businesses around that sort of thing because creating customizable survey forms is not a simple programming task
