Next time you want to frame the rich as evil or the problem for all ills in society remember this statistic. The wealthiest 1.4 percent of Americans are responsible for 86 percent of all charitable donations.

@drdej555 hypercapitalism is a bit of a simiplification but I agree with the intent. Blind extreme capitalism applied to every situation doesnt work. Absolutely. But thats very different than blaming the rich for the ills of the world. The poor and middle class are often doing the same evil crooked shit to take advantage of people financially. The rich assholes are just the assholes that are good at assholing :)

@drdej555 Yes, I also agree monopolies are bad. Thats not the same however as saying rich people are bad. It is one exampleof how asshole rich people do bad things, but the asshole rich people are still a minority among rich people is the point.

By all means identify where capitalism fails or where rich-power hurts, its valid in many cases. But just dont frame it as a "rich people are evil" sort of thing is all.

@drdej555 I should also point out the middle class rarely play fair too, their all assholes. The difference is the rich were just good at it. They also individually have mor3e asshole power but all the ones who failed at assholing collectively have more asshole power.

So pointing the finger at the rich is ineffective when we have the same sort of issues with the middle class (working under the table for example).
