@freemo i look at the A from Apple and its the ... huh? Purple? Isnt it black?
@psychonaut Its a dark purple, but not black. But what about the A?
@psychonaut I'm not sure if thats the pen or me. I have more practice with the pen that produced the purple text. So I will likely just produce smoother transitions from practice alone. But it is also a much softer nib. Isnt so good at the hairlines though.
@psychonaut True, i would need more practice to really compare. I.m considering more the line variation potential. The purple is a 115 year old waterman but the nib is a medium, maybe fine. The other is a modern Falcon nib, much stiffer but it is Extra Fine nib.
On the one hand i do like the finer hairlines out of the falcon nib. But im not sure I can get the sort of line variation I want out of it.
@freemo so, good luck. You sure will find alle the pens and nibs you want and like. Even when you need your lifetime, its the fun to collect and sort them out. ;)
@psychonaut My handwriting used to be nonexistant. But have been practicing a lot lately. I keep buying pens and never can find the perfect one. These two are the best so far.
@freemo i know what you mean, but then you have to do more practice with the new pen before you make a comparison with them. Otherwise, you wouldt get happy with the result. For yet, it loook like you have two different pens. ;) And you can produce very good transitions with this soft nib. π
