Do you want to read about hell? Here is a horrifying story about a Japanese company where you use internal currency to buy literally everything and auction off your own time.

@endomain Actually that sounds like a company I would LOVE to work at. My time is usually wasted with frivolous meetings, emails, and all the corperate waste.

If i worked here I'd have an excuse to not use a SINGLE thing that costs me a penny (such as a meeting room). So I would be unaffected by the charges. Plus I'd have a more pleasant work experience and be way more productive.

This doesnt sound like hell it sounds like heaven.

@freemo @endomain I can see the benefits of this system, but I also worry that it would make focus and long-term work suffer, just like the quarterly-report economy hurts companies' ability to think long-term.

That would depend largely on how its implemented. If your internal balance of "Will" (their internal currency) carries over from one year to the next then each employee would have personal interest in ensuring the choices they make will be financially beneficial in the long term as well as the short term.
