@mindnmotion@bsd.network Maybe. Having sensative heating doesnt mean that loud noises would hurt anymore. Thats a common misconception.

Just because a sense has high resolution doesnt imply it has a smaller range.

To look at a similar analogy consider hawks. Their eyesight is considerably more sensative than our. They can detect small variations in light at long distances we never could. Despite this heightened sensitivity there is no reason to think that on bright sunny days the added light would hurt their eyes.

In all liklihood the loud noises dont hurt their ears at all. They are just confused as to where it is coming from and scared psychologically more than anything I'd imagine.
