@pschwede From my expiernce thre is no one who carries a gun regularly who isnt also a hobbiest who goes to the shooting range from time to time. While im sure there are some who just idly carry in my expierence they are the minority.

In fact the statistics suggest im right. 61% of all gun owners in america recieve formal training. To get a conceal carry permit takes more effort and a more serious commitment then simply owning. It is required even in some states to get formal training to obtain a conceal carry. But even if it isnt a requirement the statistics suggest it is safe to say that the vast majority of people with conceal carry permits have formal training.

If your argument is simply "If you want to carry a gun you should be sure to take the time to train on it first" then yes I agree, its good to train on guns.
