@Algot Nothing wrong in that behavior. I dont think you should feel any obligation to follow someone back. If i follow someone i base it on their content, not if they followed me. Nothing wrong with how you do it, just saying you arent obligated to it.
Just saying dont be too put off by the account. Even if it is just a follow bot to improve federation, no harm done.

Not all accounts are "talkative", but when a brand new account follows me, it makes me wonder if the account is just a pathway to other instances for the instance.
Following back is my typical behavior, but such a blank account (just a couple of boosts, no posts) makes me think twice. I try to engage with the new person, hoping for the chance to make a workable connection.
Just the way I roll, I guess.
