There are a lot of efforts to investigate animals perception, some might even go so far as to make claims as to what an animals internal perception might be. IMO its all unrestable and bunk. We can at best show how animals respond, nothing more.

Note that human animals satisfy that statement exactly the same as other species. We assume that other humans perceive things as we do, but we have no way to really know that, so it's all untestable and bunk.
