For those of you curious of the source it is most likely coming from the drama regarding the Indian judge and Twitter. He was wrongfully banned there and made a public statement about moving to mastodon. Several people followed in his footsteps in protest.
I'd imagine most of us here probably left under similar circumstances, fear of abusive moderation.
@Karthikdeva Well thats why we have moderators. We require people to be respectful with eachother and not to engage people who have asked to be left alone.
So while a right-winger is of course most welcome here trolls from either side, left or right, would not be tolerated because of our rules. Ususally we just talk to them and it resolves itself, it rarely has to resort in a ban. Most people are pretty respectful when they are treated the same way, which is why its just not been an issue here really.
