@Jordi@mstdn.social Well the two phrases would represent very different things.

an elite is someone int he upper class in terms of either money, power, or both.

A Lumpenproletariat is the portion of the lower class that is either simply too unintelligent or apathetic to the situation their in.

So by definition a non-Lumpenproletariat would include both lower class individuals who are passionate and intelligent about social issues as well as the rich and powerful, as well as the middle class regardless of their mental state. So it would mean something very different than what elite might mean and im not sure what context it might be a useful term, but it seems largely uncomparable.
