Mastodon tough to navigate. Any help to keep login credentials

@freemo I got a login name and created thcpassword but mow the system keep saying wrong password. I eventually joined qoto.org and got on that way.

@morne You cant just join any instance though! Are you a STEM professional?

@freemo I fear I am so behind onthis tech that I dont even know what a STEM prefessional is. I just (greenly) started looking at alternatives to the malicious current social media like facebook and thesorts.

STEM stands for "Science Technology Engineering and Math"... in short, as a server you are only allowed here if you are a scientist or one of the related categories I just mentioned.

He could be in the "yearning to learn" category. But you're probably right he should find another instance. He is looking for an alternative to Twitter.

So, your site could be interesting for me, not doing a STEM job, but holding a STEM-degree...
It's not what I'm looking for on the Fediverse at the moment, but I'll keep it in mind if I start engineering 🙂

FYI we dont restrict the topics you can talk about, but naturally a lot of people do talk science. We only require you be in STEM in some way.
