WOOT! my 20kV diodes just arrived.. time to solder one to a 40kV capacitor and get out my high voltage generator and see how close to death i can come this time (the 1 megavolt incident earlier was a bit scary considering i was expecting a few 100kV at most)

@seek no it was nothing noteworthy and entierly accidental. I had a 400kV power supply that runs off 5V input.. Like i fool I thought it was a 12V input and hooked a 12.7V supply up to it. This boosted it to around a megavolt and had spectacular huge sparks before frying the coil after about 5 seconds... If i knew it was going to happen i would have had a spare pair of underwear with me and been prepared.
