But what about the billions of people drank fluoride in their water and are now dead? 👀

FWIW, I always get floride at the dentist, but I looked into this a while ago, and a small percentage of people really do have adverse reactions to floride, so claims about docility or IQ effects aside, I think it shouldn't be in municipal water. It would be very cheap and easy to administer on an individual basis for anyone who wants it. Generally, forced medical procedures, especially on large swaths of the population are morally dubious and frowned upon.

You mean the fact that aft4er fluoride is introduced into a water system fewer people die than before... what about it? If anything it proves the opposite point, that fluoride is good.

Fluoridation of water was discovered because they saw statistically there was a town where people were getting sick far less often (mostly less dental disease). Which often leads to death, in other words people were healthier and they didnt know why. They traced it to their water supply which was naturally fluoridated. So they started implementing it in water supplies around the world intentionally and people died less and were healthier. The exact opposite of what you suggest.

Yes a very **very** small percentage of people do react badly to fluoride. This is why I generally support unfluoridated water in terms of public supply. But that is hardly an argument that its bad for your average person.

@freemo @icedquinn @realcaseyrollins @commandlinekid my first comment was just a humorous observation about the literal survivorship bias in your observation that people who haven't died are still alive, it wasn't an earnest argument that floride is bad for health. I apologize if it came across differently.

As for your second comment, I think we are 100% in agreement there.

@anonymoose

Your first comment was actually of a similar nature of mine.. yes i simplified it to say billions of people drinking fluoridated water have not died, but this was meant to imply to the learned reader that more simply, we don't see death rates increasing when we start fluoridating water. My hope was the audience was bright enough to know what I meant.

BTW side note I forgot to add to this thread for all the fluoride conspiracy theorists. Don't forget to stop drinking all coffee and tea, both of which have higher concentrations of fluoride than fluoride doped public water.

That is all.
