I dont have any domains locally blocked, and QOTO doesnt really block domains for all its users, with a few small exceptions...

But man I am really temped to block poa.st. It seems to be the sludge from the bottom of the gene pool over there. I cant honestly remember ever having a productive conversation with anyone from that server.

Alas as a moderator who needs to keep an eye on his community I am reluctant to start blocking people or domains locally.

@Ottovonshitpost Like I said I would have a long time ago if it werent for the fact that I have to moderate my community. Since I dont wish to block at a server level I still need to be availible should a poa user attack one of my users and i need to get involved

@freemo Most of your users are probably bots anyway so who gives a fuck

@Ottovonshitpost We dont even allow bots on our server and are pretty strict about it. There are less than a dozen exceptions to that.

@freemo you don't even allow bots... but there are exceptions? Pls enjoy short film about how to correctly construct sentences

@Ottovonshitpost

@KarlDahl

Correct, bots arent allowed except for under certain restrictive conditions, namely that they must serve a functional need by the server and run by or approved by a moderator.
