Argued with a Marxist about race IQ once. I showed him charts of education levels, white populations vs black population, IQ by region. I mean I literally went into photoshop with overlays of college education per capita (law/medicine/science) and IQ next to race populations per capita. And he told me I wasn't peer reviewed.

I've known instances where headline says X, but if you actually read the study you find less definite language and a small sample size. Furthermore, even then, that study would count as one sample. Only when someone else reproduces it would it become two, and so forth.
