Looking to put together a @users group of forecasters (otherwise total strangers) for Metaculus' new competition.

I've been doing decision/prediction markets since HSX first launched, so approx 20 years? But truly, there is NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY L(

Trust me, "the scientists" are vastly more interested in watching how remotely organized teams of random nerds work together than whether a particular commodity target was met.

Can I at least count on you @freemo ? :)

@mushambo

I am insanely busy as of lately. That said me and the Data Science team here at Scentech (the company I run) have been looking to do something like this in our free time. So yea, you just might be able to count on me showing some interest here.

@users

@freemo @users Sadly, I've few ideas on the best way to coordinate such an effort across various platforms... :)

Kinda miss Google Circles in this regard, was perfect for managing different commUNITY participation!

@mushambo

Google Plus/Circles had some potential there for a while. Kinda sad it shut down too.

@users

.@freemo @users Most of the questions are...I won't say 'decoy' but largely "unimportant" for the target reviewing audience. These are the key questions to focus on (all global obv):

- CO2 emissions
- Fertility rate
- Poverty, <$10 INT 2011 USD/day
- Cost of sequencing entire human genome

For the years: 2023, 2025, 2032, 2052, 2122

This may be one of those adult situations where those who 'play the game' get awesome participation trophies.
