I really have to say, of all the mass exodus onto this server we had over the years, this is one of the best. the quality and kindness of our new users are absolution exceptional. I appreciate all of you and welcome to the sane part of the internet!

@freemo I obviously can't speak for everyone, but I know several people who'd come here after abandoning bird site months ago. I myself was always ready for a change up, after years of committing to basically using it as an RSS feed I had to block people on.
I'm loving the community that are on here though, and the various tools for self-moderation. I hope the Fediverse gets to grow larger and more active while also maintaining its the rich culture that's it's home to.

@ram Its great to have you on the network. I think youll find our growth is fairly constant and even though we are smaller than twitter our community is far more engaging... you get followers and replies to your posts here much easier than you will ever get on twitter.
I have nearly 30K followers here, and on twitter I have had an account much longer just as active with only 4K followers. And most of my twitter followers are rarely interacting with me.
