This is a pretty good example of why #Mastodon should’ve heeded the warnings regarding their poor scaling…it’s good to try to fix it now, but it’s almost too late at this point.

@realcaseyrollins The solution is moot, its already solved over here at QOTO and is trivial to solve otherwise. Its just that admins lack either the money or time to implement it.

On QOTO we use docker swarm, it is designed to auto-scale.. as the load increases more worker nodes spin up automatically and come down.. problem solved. On monolithic servers you just upgrade your server to be big enough to handle the demand.
