Question: am I right in thinking that the Mastodon instance at qoto.org is overrun by alt-right/gamergater types using the "free speech" policy as top cover for spewing their bilious hate?

@cstross qoto has had issues in the past with trolls trying to get them in trouble proactively. I've been on for months and haven't really seen anything I would even remotely classify as provocative on the local timeline - not that I've read every single message. I know @freemo has spent a lot of time dealing with this and he seems pretty diligent.

@freemo is there a root toot (lol) or FAQ page about the issue we can point people at?

I have tons of different toots addressing various accusations. As for alt-righters, anyone showing even the slightest hint at hate speech or the usual things associated would be usspended on the spot.

Instead of just hearsay and accusations why not look to the evidence? Our timeline is public, look through it, I doubt they will find even a hint of hate.

If they have a specific accusation of something we did, let me know and im sure i can provide evidence tot he contrary.

@cstross @freemo yes, but is there a central FAQ page or such? "Look thru the timeline" doesn't help a newcomer understand recent behind the scenes history. If not - maybe making one might at least save repetition.

Making onne is a great idea, but no we dont have one.. right now i just have a ton of bookmarked resources that address the concerns individually.
