When the options are pro-democracy or pro-fascism, the choice becomes clear.
Besides, Biden still wins.
@RememberUsAlways Sadly those were never the choices... The choice was always between a pro-segregationist (Biden) or a pro-fascist (Trump).
The only thing he has proven himself to do is whatever gets him votes at that particular point in history.. He consistently was pro-segregation and made it the goal of his career right until it started to hurt him, then he did whatever was popular at that moment. He goes so over the top its almost comical anyone buys it.
@RememberUsAlways I did yes, and have no idea how you think him being VP is "proof" of something... Do you recall him ever even apologizing publicly for his pro-segregation days, crying at how atrocious his behavior was when he said he didnt want a "racial jungle"? I dont... You think we are suppose to just forgive him when he never even said sorry or showed an ounce of remorse?
No remorse. No regrets. Biden has survived by living to fight another day for bi-partisan policies and continues to deliver progress in the face of ignorant opposition to the citizens of the United States.
"On Saturday, Biden defended his work with segregationist senators in an interview with the Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC: โYou got to deal with whatโs in front of you and what was in front of you was a bunch of racists and we had to defeat them.โ"

@RememberUsAlways LOL yupppp, you drank that mans coolaid alright. The man is the manifestation of slime, he is just smart enough to know manipulating black people is in his own self interest now... If you want to support a politician who got famous by supporting segregation without even an apology, go for it... me, I will never support that slime ball.
That's unfortunate but most voters vote on the party platform and deal with the slime.
That's how we have Trump and that is exactly why Democrats will continue to carry civil rights policies into the future while Republicans are stuck in the past.
@RememberUsAlways A lot of voters will vote for slime balls, you are right at that, and yes, having Trump is pretty much the equivalent from the right.
@freemo @RememberUsAlways he did apologize back in 2019. And a quick Google search show him apologizing a few times. I don't think his views are the same as they were in the 70's. Is he too old? Oh yeah. But...
I've searched for him apologizing many times and never found it. Please share the link, I'd love to see a heart felt apology, might even give him a second chance if it is emotional and convincing.
@freemo @RememberUsAlways Well heartfelt is asking a lot of a politician, but there was quite a bit of news in 2019 about it (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election/biden-apologizes-for-touting-past-work-with-segregationist-senators-idUSKCN1U10MF is probably the source) . He's made mistakes and he's definitely supported policies I didn't agree with even at the time, but he's a reasonable guy who can change his mind and grow, which is rare in a politician. This is from almost four years ago but it's a fair summary--https://www.npr.org/2020/10/14/920385802/biden-vows-to-ease-racial-divisions-heres-his-record
BWUHAHAHAHA forced... it was litterly the reason he got into politics and his most important agenda point at the start of his career.... forced, LOLOLOLOL
HAHAHA you act like a conversation needs to have a fixed topic, or as if its some contract... Yes the conversation evolved its what people do, and you being upset that the conversation progressed makes **you** the troll, because you know thats bad faith argument.
And yes the conversation progressed from starting to be about his mental health.. then about his quality as a politician, then about an apology, and yes what you claimed was an apology wasnt one, and not just for lack of sincerety, but because he framed it to sound like he was forced into it when he wasnt, which makes it a disgusting excuse and a lie, not an apology.
How dare I use logic at every step of the discussion and respond... what a troll I am... you are making a fool of yourself now, just stop.
Ok then your not just wrong, not just someone who resorts to personal attacks when they loose, but your also clueless, sounds about right.
Of course Trump lost... now you just went psychotic too mumbling unrelated statements...
Ahh more proof you fail miserably when it comes to any sort of logic then... No I have never a day in my life supported Trump and have actively spoken out against him any time it was discussed... Wow you really do struggle with reality it seems with these assumptions.
The more hyperbolic you get the more of an idiot you look like, please keep going.
If you think that half-assed attempt at an apology even remotely represents a genuine apology then you dont have any brain cells in the conversation to begin with. He literally used his "apology" to blame his actions on others, it was pathetic.
I will believe that when I see it... you certainly did a shit job of it so far.
This isnt even remotely an apology or admitting, let alone a good one... He **spear headed** the segregation movement, not simply "worked with other bad senators he has opposed"...Its laughable and so far from an apology it comes across as the opposite... reading his statements is exactly why anyone with half a brain can see Biden isnt sincere and still a racist biggot in disguise.
@freemo @RememberUsAlways oooookay. We're going to disagree on that point.
Oh and by the way, the link was an apology to something Biden said in June, not to his actions from the 60s and 70s promoting and fighting for segregation... so the links arent even remotely related to the topic discussed...
It wasnt heartfelt, it wasnt even an apology... it was literally him blaming other people for his actions... Its the equivelant of saying "I'm sorry you made me do a bunch of bad things".... If anything that response from him is more damning, not less.
@freemo
This obviously explains how we survived as VP for President Obama. Did you even consider that?
