Another amazing 10 meter contact... this time 5,300 miles to argentina over RTTY!

The antenna is up, tuned, and working! (Video attached, analysis and pictures in first reply) #Ham #HamRadio #AmateurRadio #Radio #RF #ee

@freemo great stuff! Make the most of Cycle 25, it's a long time between drinks when it falls off. Check in to 6m occasionally, too. I have hit some 6m band openings from VK2 to Japan recently.

@weezmgk while the cycle has certainly opened up the 10m for me, and this was never open during the low... ya know what... im not really getting all that more DX.. largely cause i was always very successful with 20m even during the low... despite having a small foorprint this antenna performs very well.

@freemo 10m is the real winner HF band on the solar upswing. It's typically near silent but for local groundwave traffic in off years.

@weezmgk For sure, and that is objectively true... Weird thing is though even on just 40m, which isnt supposed to be for DX, Ive hit 4000 miles plus before... 10m is usually dead and im happy to work it, and yea the dx is a bit easier.. but im really surprised at how easy in the past ive gotten equivelant dx off things as low as 40m

@freemo 40m is normally intercontinental. US hams usually start rolling into VK2 most evenings around 8-9pm local.
