@icedquinn Squars are superior for games IMO.
With hexagons you cant go left and right, you have to zig zag, and give you only 6 directions you can go in per move.
With squares you **can** go left and right and it has 2 additional directions you can go in, a total of 8 for every move.

Not true, hexagons distort diagnal moves as well. AND have 2 less directions you cant move in. Loose loose.

I suppose it depends exactly what you mean by that. Space packing is the same of course... so not sure what "better fit" means exactly but id be curious to find out.
