I know I've seen Leprechaun 4: in space before... but strangly I cant remember anything about it... May be time for a rewatch.

@trinsec

Its a horror flick about this leperchaun who in the early series lives in this crazy magical tree of horror with a pot of gold and he is obsessed with his gold.

Usually the plots revolve around someone find one of his coins or a whole pot and taking it (not knowing it was anything other than gold) and then the leprechaun chasing him down and killin in various weird ways, usually granted a wish or making a bargin that winds up killing the person with the gold and allows the leperchaun to get it back. Sometimes he just kills the guy quickly and takes the gold too.

Its clearly meant to be a real slasher horror show but they do it in a sort of semi-comedic way where its horror that kinda makes fun of itself a bit in how low-budget and weird the whole thing is.

@freemo@qoto.org 👀 Yeah, don't think that's a movie for me, lol. Sounds even more stupid than the Gremlins.

@trinsec

Oh it is **way** more stupid than the gremlins... We call these B-films.. they have less production budget that a well liked middle schooler on youtube :)

It is not a movie I'd ever recommend to anyone unless you actually like watching really really bad slasher movies... which i normally dont but this particular series I can make an exception for just for the continual stream of puns every time he kills someone :)

@freemo@qoto.org I don't generally like watching bad slasher movies... but I don't mind B-films in general. There was this one movie where a cheerleader was pregnant and her clique of other cheerleaders went to rob banks for her... something like that. It was so stupid my bro and I constantly bursted into laughter.

But horror and slasher movies in general? Mm, nah, not my genre. I have watched a few of course, and some were somewhat funny too, but it just isn't my genre.

And now I have some craving for some Event Horizon for some strange reason.
