@BeckyWerner walking out of school to protest something is the **worst** way. It shows your selfish and just in it for a day off of school and not because you care about the problem.

Protest by going to school on the weekends then you will have my attention :)

@floby

"Monitoring" seems like an odd statement. I have not heard of any movement to protest by going to school on the weekends. If you know of one I'd love to hear about it.

@BeckyWerner

@freemo @BeckyWerner I mean how are you making sure you'll get your attention focused in the right place when people do attend school on Sunday?

@floby

/Oh the expectation would be they would be attending school in an "after school program" which focuses on the topic they want to "protest". Their focus would be ensured, I hope, by the teachers running the programs.

@BeckyWerner

@floby

writing letters to congress, going on school trips to "protest", and many other things would be planned by the teachers as parts of those programs. Obviously it would largely be defined by teh activism interests of the kids.

@floby

For what exactly? That seems like an edge case. But if there is a legit enough reason... maybe.
