Trump claims in a recent post that he offered 'PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH', when in fact he weakened our global posture in multiple ways:
- He withdrew the US from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal. This gave Iran the green light to restart uranium enrichment and further failed to contain Iran's Middle East ambitions.
- Trump threatened to pull the US out of NATO and constantly complained about the financial contributions other members made.
- Trump brags about the lack of war in Ukraine, when he sided with Putin at practically every turn during his Administration. Why invade when Trump almost handed Ukraine to Russia on a platter?
- In general, Trump courted strongmen regimes to the detriment of our allies. He admires Viktor Orbán, Kim Jong Un and of course, Putin.
