Does anybody have a breakdown of the #TuckerCarlson #Putin interview?

I refuse to watch it on #BirdChan. Just curious if there was anything noteworthy or unexpected.

@DeeGLloyd This is literally the only thing Tucker has ever done I'd be willing to actually support him for. I mean he is an asshat so in general no. But a government saying news reporters cant go somewhere and talk to someone is a good ass reason to go there and talk to them. Journalism at its heart is about doing just that.

@freemo
Lots of reporters went to Russia. Probably most wanted to interview Putin. Some of them went to jail instead.

Why did Tucker succeed? Not because he's a journalist at heart, that's for sure.

@notsoloud

Irrelevant. I mean yea tucker is a piece of shit, and he is exactly the sort of piece of shit Putin would want to interview him.

But anyone who goes and interviews someone and the USA says that person isnt allowed to be interviewed, then the journalist will absolutely get my support for that act.

The only way anyone could fault Tucker for this move is if it werent illegal. Then you can argue he did nothing note worthy as a journalist, didnt risk anything, so all he did at that point was propaganda for an asshat.

But yea the very act of the USA making it illegal puts Tucker in the right.

@DeeGLloyd

@notsoloud

I was under the impression, maybe incorrectly, that the USA has put sanctions on Russia such that going there and interviewing Putin is being treated as illegal and he is risking jail time.

If i was wrong, and there is not legal pressure I agree with you.

@DeeGLloyd

@freemo @notsoloud No, there are American journalists there now. The only one threatening to jail them are Russia (they've arrested two already).
