So apparently if I fill out this Gallup poll I get $5 donated to the charity of my choice.... Somehow I highly doubt thats true, I bet when i specify my own non-profit as the charity I want to donate ill run into some problems.

Absolutely.
When I worked at a large investment bank, there was some program that for every hour I worked for a charity, the bank would donate some dollar amount (can't recall, I think it was $10 or something like that).
At the time I was rather active at Apache Software Foundation and tried to get my ~10-20 hours/week registered into the system. Well, well, well... can't let people work for ANY charity... had to be for a handful of approved ones, and couldn't get ASF approved.
