Good old Bernie, its everyone's fault but him and his voters... funny that, its almost like blaming other people rather than taking accountability makes people happy.

@freemo

my understanding is Americans agree on lots of things that the rich people don't want, and we never get them. that's why the billionaires are the problem.

@wjmaggos Nah, I think that most Americans think that, but are really just completely clueless about what billionaires once and probably never bothered to meet or be friends with one, and if they had the chance would probably be so obnoxious to them no reasonable person would want to anyway. So there is no chance either group has any clue what the other even wants.

@freemo

do the ones you know want us to have universal health care?

@wjmaggos So as far as billionaires go I only may know one (I'm not sure if he is a billionaire but he is damn close, he was the main investor in a very long list of well known large companies).

And yes, you will often find him in pictures standing next to Obama int he white house back when he was in office. He put a lot of time and money into lobbying for democrat party interest, which included universl health care.

@freemo

Obama did not fight for universal health care. Biden promised a public option but hasn't talked about it since being elected. The Dems are not for the working people like they used to be. Ask Bernie :)

@wjmaggos I didnt say Obama did universal healthcare, I said he lobbied for it. Please keep up. He is not a Democrat politician, just a rich man who spends his money on some political interests of his, one of which was trying to get us closer to universal healthcare. Weather obama listened to him and to what extent I cant say. I cant even say if his own ideas that he may have said behind closed doors were good ones or not.

But to answer your question in no uncertain terms, yes the one billionaire, or near-billionaire I know most certainly not only wants universal healthcare of some kind, he is willing to spend his time and money to try to do it. Which is probably a lot more than most people do to be honest.

@freemo

I interpreted what you said as saying Dem interests included universal health care. Sorry. That you know a billionaire who wants it does not prove most do. Since the 80s, the Dems have played more towards wealthy interests than they did in years prior. And they got more support from them. Nobody seriously disputes this. Maybe using the shorthand "billionaires" is a mistake but your anecdote isn't data. Americans of both parties want Medicare4All but health care industry execs do not.

Then why did you ask the question? Sorry but I think as I said you and most people are clueless about what most billionaires want. I am not claiming I am some expert on the topic, but I will trust that I am far less bias than you in that topic based on how you are speaking.
