@ABScientist Huh? No it isnt. There are usually 4 or more choices for president on every ballot.
@ABScientist all votes go to the cabdidates you vote for. One with the most wins.
So if candidate A gets 45%
candidate B gets 35%
candidate C gets 5%
candidate D gets 5%,
A will be the winner and gets all the votes/points/representatives (winner takes all).
If those voting for C and D would have voted for B, B would have won and takes everything?
Correct. And if those who voted for B and C voted for D then D would have won.
What ifs dont matter because they didnt, and they wont.

What happens to votes that do not go to the two main candidates? Are those simply ignored? Or do they go to the candidate with the highest number of votes?
