Universodon is literally one of the servers that blocked us for being "free speech - no hate speech" server... Oh the irony of them complaining about the world they helped create.
my position is we need to be harsh towards harassment but very permissive towards all other posts. we're like the web and email. let people browse what they want but help users to deal with unwanted tagging. unlike the other places with algos, you're not going to see what you didn't kinda ask to see. again, outside of tags.
and this all serves free expression, inc being harsh on harassment. letting that go will drive users away or keep them silent. another form of censorship imo.
