Save yours and my connection and the planet the Up / Down BANDWIDTH... choose lower...

#wish #PeerTube could remember the video pref for lower rest settings...

Imagine millions of users just starting each video on AUTO (HIGH RES) and so HIGH demand bandwidth (maybe browser/GFX too) and then needing to setting is to LOW when they realise it's not wanted / it's extra / jittering!

YOU COULD SAVE LOTS OF ENERGY JUST WITH THIS.

Kinda shows the great responsibility with anything even though 100% - so PT is good - just gotta check these kinds of auto-settings and defaults and even leaks in default behaviour and over-bloats / unneeded quality.

Also just needs more CPU (both on my side and your Peertube) to set it every... single... video...

Why not assume lower demand ?

TLDR
- Towards low footprint
- Fast ways more than quality
- Giving choice to remember as best ways.

And then maybe if you really need step it up and burn that energy if you think it's worth it...
