Free picture are not always free... picture attribution/credit, licenses, edit/mod rights, copyright, distribution rules etc...

Hi there, I'm not sure about Unsplash for photos but I do know more about Pixabay

pixabay.com

(unless they changed or got bought recently!)

So benefits are all these

- no naming / credit needed to be said on your post (0 attribution)

- can mod / edit / share / whatever

- no copyright at all / no license involved

- all types of graphics allowed there + moderated to avoid too many bad / duplicate / poorly taken pics

So this is the realest 'free' I've found. Free to mod, free to do whatever, free to share, no license nothing...

About Unsplash

- The Unsplash license is incompatible with Creative Commons licenses, preventing use on sites like Wikipedia

- Unsplash announced it was being acquired by Getty Images.

pixabay.com

Caverat - I did notice some google perhaps in here... so there might be some element of search going and coming there... would love other people's opinions and even alternatives..

So I know what I know and maybe I'm not sure about the above 2 points about Unsplash ... including Getty Images buying them (yup things change and could happen with pixabay too I guess!

This is a big problem with any company THEY CAN BE BOUGHT AND GO DARK-SIDE!

$cary...

but this is the best I know right now!
