MORE EMAIL FEATURES = LESS PRIVACY?... (PICTURE & THEORY)...
Perhaps not 100% true BUT if you are MORE features means less in control (cloud computer, remote code etc) then these big companies who are 'giving' you things as usual means it's an exchange (and as usual it's in their favour ALWAYS not a free lunch).
THEREFORE IN THAT SENSE
MORE FEATURES = LESS PRIVACY
There is a business sense to that. It's more likely the more you have and take, the more you're exploited. So keeping it simple (and even barebones) has it's honesty and modesty to it...
" All-you-can-eat " features
(maybe I should say 'features')
is like a 24/7 burger bar and it's not great in many ways....
but it's mostly true the business models is DATA regardless and therefore less PRIVACY more likely (if not the business model).
Picture is just a fairly factual visualisation of that with some scores added.
