I wonder what people would say to a minor who asks what money is and why people argue / fight over it so much...

@freeschool I think it's time that money be fundamentally rethought: it should work the way energy does. Money is completely backwards. I just posted about this on my mastodon feed.

Quick thought... money is mentality so changing money doesn't always change that.

@freeschool I get your point about money being a mentality, it is a shared way of thinking. Everyone has to learn to understand how money works today. When it is changed to work better, there is confusion at first, then people will get it and the world moves on better than before. Like games. Every game has a slightly different control interface: which buttons do what, how do I move and turn, pick up objects, duck or jump, etc. Takes a little practice, then after a few days you got it.

@freeschool the first step in changing anything is seeing its limitations, and sharing them so others can see it too. Usually most people can eventually see there is a problem, but not know what to do about it. Then a very few see a solution, or a potential one, and develop it together. Around the time the public is ridiculing the new system with its flaws, is when the flaws are getting fixed and the thing is becoming great and ready for prime time. I've seen it happen over and over.

@freeschool when you've been around a long time like we have, watching this life, recurring patterns emerge that are hard to ignore.

TETRIS & MINESWEEPER
(At the same time!!!)

Yeah lately and frequently along the way I've realised how it's hard to focus on just positives or working on positives (with both people and other externals) without hitting deal breakers or minefields of emotions.. It really feels like TETRIS and MINESWEEPER as games at the same time!

@freeschool That is a challenge when working with other people. You never know what words/ideas will trigger someone. My view is the other person needs to work to handle their own emotions and be more accepting of others, in the same way I am working on myself along those lines. It's not easy. But anyone can make progress, and be better at working with other people - finding that common ground of agreement to build from. I made it sound easy, it's not. But it can be done.
