I love the irony of "American Dream" which itself is the lure and trap itself for people to go there under false pretences

"Come here and we'll exploit you AND your dreams even faster"

Such a perfect game taking advantage of the dreams and presenting displaced luxury from elsewhere as the emotional impulse for people to think they can 'do better' under the same kind of rule / a *slightly* more polite kind tyranny and financial hammer to the face to stay alive.
