Artificial Intelligence... is it me or doesn't 'Artificial' in it's name give away mostly what it is?...
Artificial Intelligence... is it me or doesn't 'Artificial' in it's name give away what it is?
Like:
artificial flavouring
artificial additives
artificial people
artificial flowers
artificial insemination
artificial info (from computer
and who knows who behind it)
artificial screen
artificial as in aesthetics of maybe info we could get some other way more direct
At least partly in each sense of these words
where "artificial" is not usually wanted and often faked
on top as another layer, manipulated by other people / BigBiz + Governments mostly

Artificial Intelligence... magnifying what already is an uncaring world / artifical 'system' of doing things ...for it's owners (not just end users)...
@AlexanderKingsbury Agree - but also because they don't have much choice now sometimes... which is the main loss in culture or quality.
The end cost is 'affordable' only artificially in the end user sense... not the whole resource-aggression chain needed to get it there that seems normalised.
Right from capturing the energy, metals, water or whatever - encouraging getting more of that to people just to sit there and consume is already for me proven by existing stuff. (Towns complaining they don't have enough water next to Google plants for example as their Town owners sold them out for data centre money).
And then not really being healthy practice to "leave it to someone else" or 'buy it cheap' or even 'do it quick'. We have seen how wars created by these things sold basically to us as participation.. drones I'm sure are nice but fun what will be around us a lot more and then not so fun. (and not even trying to drag #war in here but seems uncaring world is more about those things as a pattern and reflection of how people think or don't think about at all).
Money more than sense in the end doesn't make sense in the end... and I wouldn't mind if it wasn't getting towards blind usage or doing things faster at diminishing levels of happiness.
People repeating "because I have no time" (or will to study) but will use things blind...
Other things (proven for me) is using cameras without adjusting recognition settings / not caring about aggressive app requirements / BigTech stuff (again without extremism that it's all horrible) and generally average person opening self up with their data up to mainly proven US aggression in well, EVERYTHING :)
But fair point for the average person who doesn't care CHEEEAP! CHEEEAP!
and basically as everything even physical products - they kinda aren't even real any more or diluted down eventually meaning the digital form like the data won't be too real / clear or clean either (it will be like the news and like nothing is happening over in X country or some algorithm setting chosen like YouTube - kinda one CEO person can change a lot which is what power AI gives them more than us).
Not a rant, just too many things, yes 'made' affordable BUT decision makers could make anything affordable when using all our data or money or taxes but their don't have will to solve things, they *choose* for the fakery / manipulation / centralising power).
That's ultimately what is magnified here.

@freeschool
Why do so many people use artificial flavors? Not because people prefer them; because they're affordable.
AI is doing the same thing; making something available to people who could not otherwise afford it. That's only going to increase.
