Bluesky BRIDGE is similar to Fediverse and it's culture?
Bluesky BRIDGE is similar to Fediverse and it's culture?
Maybe you think it's just like another email provider added?
(No I think)
Notes on DISsimilarities of protocal and providers in the Fediverse context...
TLDR
█1█ It's not using the same protocol for a start - if it was more native then maybe, which is why █2█ is important
█2█ The culture is why we came here, ethics and ethos, promise of no capitalism or concretely less by saying NO to some things...
and why we came here (not there) in the first place...

LONGER VERSION: More points
-------------------
Few people mention it's just like email Bluesky being added.... so a bit about that:
█ Email / SMTP protocol is or was mostly the same across all providers, whereas bridging like Bluesky is a more different.
More like mimicking or tapping into our protocol which is more like tapping into our culture / ethos without believing in it/
Not believing in making it more free / less capitalistic selling out (of everything not just data).
It is the main reason why we came here in the first place and why we will also leave if it gets too twitter-like / Bluesky invaded).
If you believe in "Jack Dorsey" then he has quit the project already as a sign of what he thinks.
Jack Dorsey has removed his Bluesky account a while back and not working on it at all other than general board of council, so this as a kind of bar / stronger signal perhaps = not being part of it any more makes it more clear without reading overly into it too much either.
Bluesky =
█ much more commercial entities and culture vs. what we defined as not.
█ and then making the users we were choosing from come back here as personal politics is obviously different endangers us by making it 'too easy' (commercial) again and too uncultured (people who do not choose their servers on principle / no-interest in community or caring about the protocol) is just more of the same reasons for this side of the differences,
Overall lacking of care or detail in life (users and company are different) that is spreading like a cancer for all the providers in the world and it's users. So we learned these lessons many times. Don't let them in, ok they might try but don't invite them! 🤨
█ Mastodon and Fediverse was clearly opposite to many things and just turning this into another kind of snoop-city is not great for me/many.
We see everything converted into the same shit show, from taxis to the next thing...
