Black vs. Black points (Raps / Hip-Hops vs. Consciousness) Good speaker and points (bit too loud in places but overall very good)...

Example of good speaker and good points in video...

BUT a bit too loud... and not letting the host speak (@1min and other times)... but also good to see that to not do it

All round much more good things in video than bad...

The arguments are almost black vs. black and good for when each side is giving reasons to see what works and what doesn't... notes further below give times of comments I typed out...

yt.cdaut.de/watch?v=QZJKIZCoH5

Lots of notes.... worthy I think as it crosses many interesting things:

[Updated V2] I like this video in so many ways and made so many notes because of the logic and points. Also what people don't reply to shows they are not interested in arguing those things that are said, not being as honest and and sometimes insulting over that as a form of deflection and distracting from focussing on points.

@5.11 Best + most memorably wrong by Dr Umar

"The [music] relationship is transactional..."

[which I agree]

"but community has to change it's appetite.."

[I disagree or seems like he's waiting for consumer first, no the providers / music makers lead the way and people still like the music... I still like DMX for his religious lyrics and leaning with almost whole album, sure don't make it Georgian Chant or 100% all that!]

yt.cdaut.de/watch?v=QZJKIZCoH5

and @6.55 "They [consumers] didn't know they needed it [alternative food chain] until I put it there..."

[the host is right and supports what I think, providers/sellers change the game mostly, and can be slow yes but not just full gangsta like it's also ok to give away the money from that - still mindset is key from top to bottom]

I think you can't change violent style RAP Hip-Hop completely and can sound good/motivational (and it will break the circle and money to be frank with you) but NEED to WORK TOWARDS stopping / making much less music glorifying shooting each other etc!]. Can't be doing charity forever from that... but for a time I think yes mix it in, as we literally have nothing else... and yeah consumer has responsibility but what you teach stays better... ans system ain't doing well...

⭐ DMX did this well from gangsta to Church style (even if it's good marketing - him do a sliding scale move instead worked and I knew listening he was moving and it was conscious -EVEN if a bit aesthetic - that's also ok and we can fill/replace gaps)....

-------------------------------------------
11.20 "Let's look at out billionaires..."
--------------------------------------------
Puffy Combes
Kanye
Oprah
Jay-Z
Bob Johnson
Rihanna
Serena Williams
Tiger Wood

Almost none of them have done anything relevant for the black community...

--------------------------------------------
@11.39 "Why haven't the richest blacks done anything for the black people?"
---------------------------------------------
⭐ "...because power and money are seldom in the same hands when it comes to black people"

16.40 "in the Iroquoian / Iroquois tradition that I practise coming from Nigeria there's a divinity..."
[ wait is that the same as A family of North American Indian languages spoken by the Iroquois ?? The same as what Jamiroquai name comes from ?? Jam-iroquai ??
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iroquois

Far out connecting these things by Iroquoian American Indian stuff / Nigeria / Band name (uses a instead of of 'o'... ]

continued... "...who oversees abundance, her name is Oshun

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oshun

OTHER NOTES:
------------------------

So loudness was one point, it works sometimes, but in not close proximity to speaker I think... (over-amps brain to focussing on what he just said).

Dr Umar is good in part but with host just takes only the first word or sentence sometimes... (that's a common mistake that doesn't get full story first or let a good ping pong happen - rather the prematurely do his knowledge burst which can seem out of context sometimes but still good for what he speak on I admit... but almost lecture-ish)
---------------------------------
Also I do and don't like the touching thing Dr Umar does while talking, but maybe almost touching is kinda cool to watch for reactions... and certain gets attention

How can you change a community if you cant change what they are being fed?
A true artist who is "God" fearing and not "god" fearing will do the right thing for the people.
@kingkweku9761

Rick Ross's response was about turkey's lol clearly he missed the point.
⭐ When people like him that cant fully answer a question they tend to always deflect from whats really being asked.
@marcuschisley2285

Dee 1 is right we have been rapping about murder, drugs, disrespect of women for too many years and its not cool and should have never been cool. People just dont want to admit it

@lifeBrown

Dee 1 is incorrect when it comes to the issue of interracial marriage. In the Bible, Deuteronomy 7:3, God said "Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons."

Even if we didn't know exactly who God was addressing. God is clearly distinguishing that one group is not to marry another group.

This is in reference to the Canaanites. The description of the curse of Canaan (leprosy) and what it looks like is in Leviticus.
@TheMr007247

+ reply correct above

This passage is clearly NOT about race because the Canaanites were the same race and color as the Israelites - Black! 😂.

It’s talking about not intermarrying those who worship other gods (idols, false gods, themselves as gods, etc.) than the t true and living God.
@joshuacooperseo

⭐ Rapper Rick Ross' actions are symbolic because it's easier to "give a man a fish" than to erect schools or classes to teach a man how to fish. He knows blacks are easily duped when it comes to somebody or the system, trapping people with charities.

Charities under emergency conditions can be like a God send. But charities can also be used to breed dependency i.e. weakness and open doors for abuse and exploitation.

Rapper Rick may mean well, but he still needs to learn that the people need to be educated on how to be independent in order to insulate themselves from being the exploits of this society.

Where’s this “institution” you claim you’re “building”

its in Delaware
@adavis3215

And remains empty & not renovated to this day. He said renovations were complete weeks ago then said he needs to finish renovations. Umar isn’t the solution. All he’s doing is taking resources that could be better allocated to someone who is serious & knows what they’re doing. I guarantee he’s going to make a new excuse this year & push it back like he’s been doing for 10 years. Everyone is quick to hold everyone accountable besides this clown.
