🧵 I wrote ab the “is Signal secure?” manufactroversy on X. The Guardian wanted an explainer on why Elon & Jack were “concerned” about Signal. The answer, though, has nothing to do w/Signal’s product. It was part of an extended fight over whether woke NPR should be defunded & the CEO fired. Why? Because the CEO of NPR is on the board of Signal; by the Transitive Property of Bad People, Signal is thus compromised.

@Noupside Just saying the end part almost sounds like you are telling us - from the "Why?" part - so reading it in full you can see you're talking from Elon's point of view but careful of the confusion of who is writing (yourself) and who you mean in unquoted terms... A lot of bad news can work because people are not sure who is saying what or what the person writing means from someone else's perspective... so the "Why?" could be sounding from you. (Adding "from their perspective / Elon thinks" makes it much clearer / seperates you and his perspective or story)
