ive noticed that i play games in an infuriatingly breadth-first way, where i explore everything around me exhaustively, exhausting all potential interactable entities near me, exhausting all potential routes forward before picking one, and exhausting anybody watching me play

like when i meet the new enemies i stand there and let each of them kill me so i can learn how easily they kill me, then after a few reloads i know what they do, and i can start doing something else like fighting them potentially, maybe

a while back while playing majoras mask in snowhead temple i just basically stopped trying to complete the temple at all and got obsessed with this one tiny room where there's just 2 doors and a wolfos. i spent literally 45 minutes trying to work out the exact series of button inputs that would allow me to one-shot the wolfos in the shortest amount of time. just going back and forth through the same door. i dont even think its useful for a speedrun but it was satisfying for me at least

if you arent good at games but like the satisfaction of landing frame-perfect inputs, i recommend playing N64 zelda in a PAL region since theres less than 17 of them each second

@jk Is it really 17 frame less!? Do you have sources?
