a librarian i consulted recently talked about the importance of #privacy at LOCAL #LIBRARIES which i thought was wild, she said ppl need privacy at a #library for ACADEMIC FREEDOM.

I have not heard that term for YEARS

we need #tor and #i2p not just for basic #communication but for #academicFreedom, i think if more people were academically free covid could never have caused the (likely) intergenerational damage it seems to have caused in societies.
