I need a new android smartphone, mine's dying. Given that I need to run appstore apps for no-open-alternative stuff like banking and controlling bluetooth gadgets and so on, what's the least enshittified spyware-ridden open option? I hear talk of #fairphone and #pinephone and stuff, but what are they like in practice and can I still run Play Store apps? I'm a complete newbie in this area...

(yes I know a phone but if really going for something modern-ish I heard everything is use against itself as hardcore anti and deeply thought-through list of things it seems) including sand-boxing and various privacy controls as default.
