I wish there was more of a push from writers/websites to have people use RSS. I know Google Reader's death really hurt RSS use, but there's apps now like Inoreader and Feedly (as much as I have issues with the latter) that work on phones that I think people would use. It's just so much easier to see something through RSS feeds than always checking social media

@MichaelKlamerus I fell in love with RSS because it eliminated the need to constantly reload pages in order to follow news/videos - but sites probably hated that because it meant less ad views.

I still use a self hosted FreshRSS instance to follow all my YouTube channels, because it's way better for keeping track of what I've watched and what's new.

For do I remember correctly that there was a time you could literally click icon or something to see the RSS?

Like in the url bar or near to padlock 🔒 / 3 dots / near go arrow you could see RSS page ?

And then if not even just add "/rss" woud work?
