For those who have been interested, my vinyl digitisation project has continued, with over 2500 titles now done. Hip-Hop 12"s and 45s of various genres make up the bulk, and now I'm dipping in and out of Hip-Hop albums (tending towards the obscure) and various soul/funk/jazz/library stuff!

So far, that adds up to a little over 280GB in FLAC format, and about 105GB as 320kbps MP3 files. All those heavy, heavy boxes of vinyl...small enough to fit on a portable SSD that could go into my pocket unnoticed. The laptop I'm copying the MP3s onto for DJing slides into a backpack and still has HD space to spare, even though it's not top spec! The future, from the POV of young me, is an amazing place 😄
