@leahawasser is there a more time period specific way to mention the idea the founder was wanting to represent?
I would hate for the vision that they imagined with that name choice to be lost.
An example for me would be, jayhawkers, as opposed to Kansan. Because while to be an anti-slavery Kansan is probably the norm now, the nature of the resistance the jayhawkers presented is a past aspirational people, even though obviously Kansans do still exist and many still do fight for freedom.
