@garyackerman I've been working to see how well shared decision-making in a context of shared principles/theories of action can raise tolerance for discomfort by keeping people focused on "why" at the same time as "how." A lot of improvement science, etc., seems to make the mistake of assuming that all of that's in place, and the innovations make sense to everyone.
