“Fair” doesn’t mean you get your way. It means you are treated according to the rules.

@garyackerman Being treated fairly means you are treated just the same as everyone else, even if the rules are bent or broken for everyone, they are bent and broken for you, too. No one receives special treatment. There must not be any.

I'd clarify that fair is being treated according to the same rules as everyone else. Too often there are different rules depending on who you are. Although, in practice, this often requires better rules than the ones we typically get.
