Even those educators who claim to be unaffected by psychology or learning theory (in my experience a large majority of teachers eschew theory), their teaching is grounded in someone’s concepts of psychology and how human brains function.

I teach my learning theories class around the idea of “operant theories” - people have operant theories of how learning happens and they design and plan accordingly. I want people to become more cognizant of those theories and seek to better understand if they’re sound and what better alternatives might be.
